Pep Club to Raise Funds for Cancer Action

For the second year, Pep Club will be raising funds for the Cancer Action organization.  Cancer Action offers a variety of support to cancer patients and survivors in Kansas City, KS and the metro area.  Last year, Pep Club was able to donate $300.00 to Cancer Action to support their efforts.  Pep Club President, Senior Jenny Schneider, said, “Pep Club is one of the biggest organizations at Ward.  Breast cancer education and support of patients are very important.  Cancer Action provides much-needed services to our friends, families, and neighbors here in Kansas City, Kansas; and we feel it is important to give back to our community and to help cancer patients become cancer survivors.” 

The Pep Club will be selling “Cyclones On a Mission” t-shirts to support their efforts.  The shirt is designed by Jenny Schneider.  The t-shirt will be black and the front of the t-shirt says, “Cyclones on a Mission,” in white letters.  The “L” of Cyclones is a pink ribbon.  The back says, “Fighting for a Cure” with a Cyclone, all in pink.

Shirts are $15 each or 2 for $25.  Sizes adult small through adult 4XL are available, all for the same price.  Shirt orders will be taken Jan. 29- Feb. 8 at 3:30p.m. To order a shirt, please contact Ms. Gregory at 913-371-1201 or amgregory@wardhigh.org.  Payment is not required until the shirts arrive, the week of Feb. 15.
