Student Fundraising Information |
Philanthropy, noun; Love of humankind, usually expressed by an effort to enhance the well-being of humanity through personal acts of practical kindness or by financial support of a cause. (This definition was taken from the Association of Fundraising Professionals dictionary.)
Bishop Ward High School students play a key role in promoting philanthropy when they participate in the two student fundraisers each year. They help keep Catholic, college preparatory education strong in Wyandotte County and truly involve themselves in the mission of Bishop Ward High School. Their commitment to our cause is outstanding and we are grateful!
Student fundraising is a key component of our annual operations at Bishop Ward. The Raffle and the Walk combined raise $80,000 toward the $1.7 million needed to close the gap between tuition and the full cost of education.
Students can reach their fundraising goal by going into the community and asking family, friends, fellow parishioners, neighbors, etc., to support their education by buying a raffle ticket or making a donation to the walk event. Click here for more information.
