Dallas Shalz Selected to Shrine Bowl
|
Senior Dallas Shalz, who played offensive line for the Bishop Ward Cyclones, has been selected to play in the 2010 Kansas Shrine Bowl. This charity all-star football game is scheduled for July 31 at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan.
Selection to play in the game has become one of the most sought after and prestigious honors a Kansas high school football player can be awarded. |
Only 68 young men are invited to play in this game each year from the entire state of Kansas.
Players are selected by a mail ballot of over 30 sports media professionals and selections of the 2010 Kansas Shrine Bowl coaching staff.
In addition to bringing honor and recognition to the participants and their schools, the Shrine Bowl donates all net profits, over $2 million so far, to the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
