Transfer Students
If you are interested in transferring to Bishop Ward, please contact Kiernan Markey, Office of Admissions, at 913.371.6901 or at kmarkey@wardhigh.org to discuss the process. Students’ applications will be reviewed by the Admission Board upon submission. Students may transfer to Bishop Ward up through the first week of school or may transfer at second semester.
Transfer Process
The process for transferring to Bishop Ward High School includes the following steps:
1. Request a transfer packet and financial packet from Bishop Ward High School by contacting Kiernan Markey at 913-371-6901.
2. Fill out forms and return with necessary documentation to Bishop Ward.
3. Business office reviews financial information and sends letter to family outlining their tuition rate and financial aid for which they qualify.
4. Bishop Ward will request student’s records from their current school, including grades, discipline records, and attendance records.
5. The Admissions Board will review the student’s records and make a recommendation for admission.
6. Principal Dennis Dorr meets with students and parents for interview.
7. If approved for admission, student will meet with counselors to pick out classes.
8. Once schedule is finalized, student may attend class.
