Bishop Ward High School has officially appointed Mr. Tim Dorian, Class of 1979, as its Head Football Coach for the 2012-2013 school year.
“I am looking forward to coming back to Bishop Ward,” Dorian said. “I am very happy that the opportunity presented itself for me to come back. The school is rich in tradition and parental support. I look forward to working with the students, staff and administration at Bishop Ward.”
For the past two years, Dorian has served as the Head Football Coach at F.L. Schlagle High School in Kansas City, KS. He also played four years of collegiate football at Wichita State University, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Business Administration. He recently completed his Master’s Degree in Education at the University of St. Mary in Leavenworth, KS.
“Coach Dorian will strive to bring out the very best in his players on and off the football field,” Athletic Director Greg Duggins said. “He has a strong knowledge of the game and his philosophy is based on sound fundamentals. I know that the Bishop Ward community will whole-heartedly support Coach Dorian in his new role as our head football coach.”
